One national record wasn't enough for American High School freshman Tyrese Cooper at the Arkansas High School Invitational on Saturday. The Floridian broke the 400m national freshman class indoor standard on Saturday afternoon, then returned later that afternoon to break the freshman record in the 200m.
Oh yea, did I mention that both efforts were in the preliminary round?
Cooper did not return for the finals, but ended the day ranked No. 4 in the nation in the 200m [21.54] and No. 5 in the 400m [47.97].
