Harding's Ebenja, Zaborowska Rank Nationally in Indoor Track


SEARCY – Two members of the Harding women's indoor track and field team are ranked in the top 10 in Division II in their events.

Senior Cathy Ebenja ranks seventh in the 60 meters with a time of 7.62 seconds. She ran the time at the Arkansas State Kickoff Klassic in December.

Freshman Ewa Zaborowska is ninth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:14.66, which she ran in winning the race at the ASTATE Invitational on Saturday.

Harding's men moved up one spot to 14th in the NCAA II South Central Region Rankings thanks to its relay performances Saturday. The Bison team of Landon Belcher, Justin Durham, Kory Howard, and Milton Stewart ran the 4x400-meter relay in 3:22.30, the third-fastest time in the region thus far. Belcher, Eric Wilson, Taylor Lively, and Woody Seagren teamed to run the distance medley relay in 10:42.73 to rank sixth in the South Central Region.

Head coach Steve Guymon's Lady Bisons moved up four spots to 11th in the regional rankings. Junior Tiffany Chambers is the region's top pole vaulter with a mark of 11 feet, 5.75 inches at the ASTATE Invitational. Ebenja ranks second in the 60 meters, and Zaborowska is second in the 800 meters regionally.

Harding's next meet is the GVSU Big Meet, hosted by Grand Valley State in Allendale, Mich., on Feb. 10-11.
