FULL MEET SCHEDULE AND INFORMATIONARKANSAS HIGH SCHOOL INVITATIONALSATURDAY, JANUARY 14, 2017The Arkansas High School Invitational is open to high school athletes, grades 9-12, only. Athletes may compete for their high school, track club or as an unattached individual.Entry into all meets hosted by the University of Arkansas is by invitation only. Teams and individuals interested in competing must request an invitation by e-mailing Matt Downs at Teams and individuals granted an invitation to compete will be given access to enter online at entering, please submit marks that were achieved during the 2016 or 2017 season. Meet management reserves the right to select which entries will be accepted and in which sections entrants will be placed.All entries are due online at by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, January 9. A list of accepted entries will be sent to coaches by 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10.Entry fees are $20 per athlete per event and $40 per relay. Entry fees will be calculated based on the number of accepted entries, not the number of athletes that are declared or ultimately compete.It may be necessary for meet management to limit both the number of teams competing and the number of athletes accepted for each event. Meet management reserves the right to select which entries will be accepted and in which sections entrants will be placed.The time schedule will be revised based upon the entries received. The final schedule will be sent to coaches and posted on on Wednesday, January 11.The track at the Randal Tyson Track Center will be open for SHAKE OUTS for approximately one hour after the completion of the Arkansas Open on Friday evening at approximately 7:00 p.m. No spikes will be allowed and runways/pits will NOT be open. There are no other practice times available at the Tyson Center.The Randal Tyson Track Center will open to competitors and coaches on Saturday at 7:00 a.m. Only athletes will be permitted inside the competition areas.Athletes may use only pyramid or Christmas tree spikes. Spikes will be checked and those not meeting the regulations must be replaced by the athlete. No pin/needle spikes will be allowed on the competition track or practice facility.High school coaches and individual athletes may pick up packets at the information booth inside the Randal Tyson Track Center on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. All entry fees must be paid in full before a packet may be picked up.We will distribute the packet to the first coach who arrives at the packet pick-up area. This packet will contain the access credentials for the entire team. Please make arrangements to meet your team at a designated location outside the Tyson Center to distribute credentials if you are planning to arrive at different times. We will not hold the packet at the packet pick-up area.Awards will be given to the top three overall finishers per event.No warm-ups will be permitted on the track at any time. Athletes should use the warm-up facility located in the Fowler Training Center. Hurdles and starting blocks will be located there. The oval around the competition track may not be used for warm-ups during the meet. No food is allowed in the Fowler Center.Implement inspection will begin on Saturday at 7:00 a.m. at the east end of the Fowler Center in the track storage room. All implements must be inspected NOT LATER THAN ninety minutes before the scheduled start of the event. Please refer to the enclosed map. Implements will be impounded until they are brought by the officials to the event site. The implement room will close one hour after the completion of the final throwing event of the day.Athletes and teams may sit in the stands on the south side of the Tyson Center. The team entrance is located on the southeast corner of the facility. Teams are not permitted to sit in the north stands.
