Dear Coach,
You are invited to the 45th annual Cyclone Invitational at Arkansas Tech University on Saturday September 29th 2018. The Cyclone is the longest continuous running high school cross country meet in Arkansas. Coach Don Carnahan, a member of the Arkansas track and field, high school coaches and national coaches Hall of Fame created the event in 1973. Please notice we have added college races this year. We look forward to seeing you and your team. If you do not have a full team, you can register your athletes for $10 a person.
Race Divisions and Times:
College Women's 5K 8:00 AM
College Men's 8K 8 8:35 AM
Sr. Girls 9:15 AM
Sr. Boys 9:45 AM
Jr. Girls 10:15 AM
Jr. Boys 10:45 AM
Awards: HS/JH Medals will be awarded to the top (20) in each division. A plaque will be given for the runner-up and winner in each division.
Registration: ar.milesplit.com You may enter as many athletes as you wish. $75 for each team entered. Make checks payable the Russellville Athletic Department.
NOTE- College Races this year. No JV.
Timing: MacDonald Timing, LLC will handle timing and scoring using Ipico Shoe Chips. Teams are responsible for lost chips. Chips will be collected in chute, all unused chips must be returned at time of packet pickup or final awards ceremony. Coaches will be provided with 1 zip tie per chip to be used to integrate chip into shoe laces.
Results: Results will be posted on MacDonaldTiming.com the day of the event, eventually results will be posted to TFRRS for College events and Milesplit for the JR/HS events.
Entries: HS/JRHS entries done through Milesplit. Entries will close on Sept 27 at 9 am Central Time. Entries will not be closed prior to this time. (College entries done through Direct Athletics)
Location: Arkansas Tech University by Tucker Coliseum. Russellville, Arkansas. Parking- Drop off by Tucker and park bus across from softball field. Attendants will show your driver where to park. Camps will be assigned in rows side by side behind Tucker. Please be aware you will camp on pavement and will need to plan accordingly.
Course: A fast flat run on grass making 2 loops with two 200 meter slight inclines on the course. Runners will cross over ome water ditch. It is noted for its scenic beauty on the Arkansas Tech campus
Info: T-Shirts will be on sale. Water will be provided for runners at the finish line. A concession stand will also be on site.
Trainer: Mike Hilton of Lane Physical Therapy will be on site to assist with any minor injuries, or provide first aid if needed.
