Adoette Vaghan Goes For Fourth SPC XC Title

Adoette Vaughan entered Dallas' Hockaday high school as a young and harmless looking athlete. She was young, but she was far from harmless.

Little did many know, the young distance runner would do a lot of damage. That damage would begin her freshman year as she won the 2015 SPC state cross country meet with a 19:00 performance.

In the spring, she would continue to run wild on the track as she won two track championships with a 2:17.11800m and a 5:02.27 1600m.

This weekend, will be Vaughan's fourth and final SPC State Cross Country Championships and she will be shooting for a fourth state meet win. Since her freshman year, she has developed into a historical figure and an advocate nationally for the SPC.

To go along with her three state cross country titles, Vaughan took her show to the national level when she finished ninth at the Foot Locker South Regional in Charlotte, North Carolina. That performance qualified her for the Foot Locker Nationals where she finished 11th overall against the fastest distance girls in the country.

Tomorrow will be all about the SPC. Not only would a win this weekend be the fourth cross country championship, but it would be his ninth SPC individual championship.

Watch this weekend as Vaughan goes for a clean sweep of SPC cross country championships.
