Arkansas Contingent Runs Strong at USATF Indoor Nationals

Arkansas had a strong showing at the USATF Hershey Youht Indoor National Championship. The events were held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island, New York. Mary Katherine Morgan of Rogers was the national champion in the girls 15-16 3000 meter run with a time of 10:50.38, winning by just .01 seconds. 

In total 13 awards handed out to 7 kids ( 6 of them medaled in two events). 3000 m medals from left to right. Abigail Livingston 6th Place Springdale AR. Mary Katherine Morgan, National Champion, Rogers, AR and Emelia Erickkson, 5th Place Bentonville along with teammate Madison Galindo. Back row Jenna Solomon, Luke Bledsoe 5th Place Springdale, Dawson Welch, 2nd Place Springdale, Hashane Abeyagunawardene, 3rd Place, Bentonville, Noah McMurtrey, 5th Place.

In the 17-18 year old boys division, Ethan Carney of Springdale was the national champion in the 800m run with a time of 1:57.78. Ethan also finished 3rd in the 400m dash.
