MANHATTAN, Kan.- Tyree Glass led four Golden Lions in double figures with 18 points as Arkansas-Pine Bluff fell 90-76 against 12th ranked Kansas State on Monday night at Bramlage Coliseum.
"There are some things that we need to work on,” said UAPB Head Coach George Ivory. “One thing we take pride in is our rebounding. We have been out-rebounding the majority of our opponents this year and we practice on it a lot. But I give our guys credit; they hung in there and fought until the end."
Both teams shot under 50-percent in the first half as UAPB shot 45.5-percent and K-State shot 44.1-percent but both teams turned it up a level in the second half. Arkansas-Pine Bluff shot 57.1-percent (16-of-28) while K-State went 13-of-22 from the field (59.1-percent).
The Golden Lions were able to pull within 12 points at 65-53 at the 10:03 mark of the second half after a 10-0 run.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff returns to the hardwood on Dec. 28th at Oregon.
