Girls Race
After a sensational track season, Gabbie Bishop's junior cross country debut was something we at Milesplit Arkansas have been eagerly awaiting and she did not disappoint, opening her season to a blazing 18:07.14, about 45 seconds faster than her season opener in 2023.
In her first race as a high schooler Maggie Bishop finished second, running 19:03.27 while Jane Adams finished third, running 19:35.19. Layla Maline and Lucie Demers rounded out the Patriots top 5 and helped lead Providence Classical to their first win as a part of the AAA.
Julia Witherington, Carole Werner, and Camryn Coston all finished inside the top 10 and led the charge for Greenwood, who finished second and scored 45 points.
Litzy Garcia and Keira Ralph were the top finishers for Gravette, who finished 3rd, and demonstrated why Gravette is once again one of the teams to beat in 4A.
