PINE BLUFF, Ark.- The University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Lady Lions Basketball got a huge win on Monday evening as they notched a blow-out victory over Alabama State capping off a four-game home stand.
“We played up to our potential,” said UAPB Head Coach Cary Shelton. “Tonight was a complete effort from our team and it definitely shows what we are capable of when we play with focus and determination.”
UAPB benefited from Lady Hornets turnovers (22) as they tallied a total of 13 steals during the contest. Shay Holmes led the way with 19 points and 9 rebounds nearly tallying her second consecutive double-double.
The Lady Lions return to Southwestern Athletic Conference action on Saturday, Feb. 13th at 5:30 pm at Southern University in Baton Rouge.
