LORMAN, Miss.- The Arkansas-Pine Bluff Lady Lions lost their second consecutive game of the season falling to Alcorn State on Monday night 84-67.
The Lady Braves dominated the game from start to finish taking a 45-28 lead in halftime. The two teams would trades baskets back and forth in the second half the Lady Lions were unable to chip away at their deficit.
Laquisha Slaton scored 22 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Shay Holmes and Jasmine Abrams tallied 12 and 10 points respectively.
On Saturday night Arkansas-Pine Bluff fell to Southern 67-50. Abrams was the Lady Lion lone double digit scorer as she netted 18 points on a 9-of-16 shooting night form the field.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff will return home for their next two games versus Prairie View and Texas Southern.
