PINE BLUFF, Ark.- The University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff softball teams' 2010 campaign is officially underway as the Lady Lions have competed in their first six games of the season.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff opened their season with doubleheader losses to Central Baptist (1-4, 0-9), Ouachita Baptist (0-4, 3-11), and Southwest Baptist (0-8, 7-10).
“We added a lot of new people over the offseason so our team is still learning how to play together,” said UAPB Head Softball Coach Tim Munn. “The next few games should help us gel as we get set to begin conference play later this month.”
The Lady Lions will host their first home game of the season on Tuesday, March 9th against Central Arkansas at 1 pm and 3 pm at Pine Bluff High School.
On March 19th thru 21st the Lady Lions will get set to travel to Hattiesburg, Miss. to participate at the Southwestern Athletic Conference Round-Up.
