6A-C SR Girls Top Teams: Cabot High School & Mount St. Mary Academy
With a projected one-point difference between Cabot High School and Mount St. Mary Academy, it will be a fast and intense race to see who will ultimately get the edge to take home the 6A Central Conference title this year.
Individuals to look out for:
17:38.61: Lauren Thompson, junior from Jonesboro High School.
18:54.84: Allie Steliga, junior from Mount St. Mary Academy.
- 19:02.70: Cady Masters, senior from Cabot High School.
Thompson is trending to win the 6A Central Girls Conference Championship to add to her stellar junior season for Jonesboro High School. Allie Steliga of Mount St. Mary Academy is projected to place second with a current PR of 18:54.84 but Cady Masters of Cabot High School is close behind with a PR of 19:02.70.
6A-C SR Boys Top Teams: Cabot High School & Jonesboro High School
With a projected eight-point separation between Cabot High School and Jonesboro High School it will come down to the wire to see who will take home the 6A Central Boys Conference title.
Individuals to look out for:
15:39.90: Harper Huckabee, junior from Jonesboro High School.
15:49.90: Asher Found, senior from Catholic High School.
With a PR of 15:39.90, Harper Huckabee of Jonesboro High School is projected to win the 6A Central Boys Conference Championship, followed by Asher Found of Catholic High School with a PR of 15:49.90. Both competitors have not raced enough for a clear trend to be present, so it will be an interesting race to see if Found is able to close the gap with 6A Central's best.
5A-E SR Girls Top Teams: Searcy High School & Paragould High School
With a close projected four-point difference between Searcy High School (38 points) and Paragould High School (42 points), both teams will go head-to-head to see who will leave with the 5A Girls Conference Championship title. This will be Paragould's first time in the running for a conference girls' championship in a long time and it will be interesting to see which team will get the edge in the 5A East Girls Conference Championship this year.
Individuals to look out for:
19:51.04: Julianne Smith, sophomore from Searcy High School
20:24.63: Addy LaFerney, sophomore from Valley View High School
The sophomore from Searcy High School is projected to win the 5A East Girls Conference Championship this year as her team fights for the team title as well. Following Smith is Addy LaFerney, a sophomore from Valley View High School, with a PR of 20:24.63. Both Smith and LaFerney have been consistently cutting their times this season and are showing great progress through this 2025 CC season.
5A-E SR Boys Top Teams: Valley View High School, Searcy High School, & Paragould High School
The 5A East Boys Conference Championship will be the race to watch with a close projected point spread between Valley View High School at 43 points, Searcy High School at 52 points, and Paragould High School at 54 points. As the record shows, Paragould High School has remained undefeated against Searcy High School this season, despite the four-point deficit on the Rams' end and being a fundamentally young team. This will undoubtedly be the closest race for the 5A East Boys Conference Championship we have seen in a long time.
Individuals to look out for:
16:13.91: Cole Chadwick, senior from Valley View High School.
16:23.93: Tyler Bedgood, sophomore from Paragould High School.
16:48.32: Nick Sherwood, senior from Searcy High School.
This is looking like a fast and competitive race for 5A East boys. All three of our top contenders have been trending well this CC season, though Sherwood has not run in the 16:20's this season despite his last year's PR of 16:23.38, which would have knocked off Paragould's Tyler Bedgood for being projected second for this race. I think this is going to be a closer race than projected at this time and I cannot wait to see how these boys lace up together.
4A-3 SR Girls:
Individuals to look out for:
21:22.42: Alice Baltz, sophomore from Brookland High School.
22:18.42: Serenity Harrison, junior from Southside-Batesville High School.
Alice Baltz, sophomore from Brookland High School is projected to win the 2025 4A-3 Girls Conference Championship. Following her is Serenity Harrison, a junior from Southside-Batesville High School with a PR of 22:18.42. Both girls are trending well this year, and I think this will be a great race for both competitors given their consistency this CC season.
4A-3 SR Boys Top Teams: Westside Consolidated High School, Highland High School, & Southside-Batesville High School
Westside Consolidated High School is projected to win this year's 4A-3 Boys Conference title with a slim 29 points. Projected at second and third place is Highland High School and Southside-Batesville High School, which are both tied at an estimated 56 points. It is clear to suggest there will be an intense battle for the top standings this year in the Boys 4A-Region 3 division.
Individuals to look out for:
18:05.91: Zeppelin Schultz, sophomore from Highland High School.
18:37.39: Heston Naylor, sophomore from Brookland High School.
18:38.30: James Meredith, senior from Westside Consolidated High School.
Zeppelin Schultz, a sophomore with a PR of 18:05.91, leads the 4A-Region 3 conference with competitors Heston Naylor and James Meredith following behind, ranking second and third for the conference. Naylor and Meredith raced against one another last week at the Unico Bank Blazer Invitational 2025, with Heston Naylor getting the edge over Meredith with a 0.91 second win. It is impossible to say who will come out on top this week, but I can say it will be a close tense finish for the 4A-Region 3 Conference.
