PINE BLUFF, Ark.- The Arkansas-Pine Bluff Lady Lions softball dropped two games in doubleheader action to the Grambling State Lady Tigers 6-5 and 5-4 on Saturday.
The two wins completed a three-game sweep for GSU as they inched closer to UAPB with a 4-10 record in conference play. The three losses drop Arkansas-Pine Bluff to 4-9 on the season in SWAC play and leaves them with a half game lead for the third seed in the SWAC's Western Division.
Several UAPB miscues proved to be costly over the three-game series as the Lady Lions never appeared to be in rhythm.
The Lady Lions will close out the home portion of their schedule on Tuesday, April 20th in non-conference double-header action against Central Baptist with the first pitch set for 1 pm.
