UAPB's Mack Selected To Participate In NFL Internship

UAPB Offensive Coordinator Jerry Mack
PINE BLUFF, Ark.- UAPB Offensive Coordinator Jerry Mack has been invited to participate in the Bill Walsh NFL Minority Coaches Internship Program. Mack will be working with the New York Jets at their 2010 training camp and OTA's.

This will be Mack's third internship with an NFL organization and second with the New York Jets. The purpose of the Bill Walsh NFL Minority Coaches Internship Program is to expose talented minority college coaches to the methods and philosophies of summer NFL training camps.

“It is an honor to be invited back to work with the New York Jets Organization, said Mack. “Their front office and coaching staff is truly first class. The knowledge and information that I'll be able learn will be second to none. You must stay on the cutting edge of schemes, technology, and player development in order to have success at this level.”

The internship program has brought more than 1,300 minority coaches into NFL training camps  and produced four present head coaches. Mack will work closely with the Jets offense, who led the NFL in rushing yards per game.

Mack was named UAPB's Quarterbacks Coach and Offensive Coordinator in January, after spending two years as the University of Central Arkansas's Passing Game Coordinator.
