BIRMINGHAM, AL – Rachel Harker is the SWAC Player of the Week, the conference announced today.

Harker (F, 5-5, Jr., Burnaby, British Columbia) kept the Lady Lions on pace with three points in two games, the most for any league player last week. She totaled six shots and three assists and helped the Lady Lions to their first-ever program win over Louisiana-Monroe.

“I am proud of Rachel for achieving this conference honor for this past week. She works hard every game and contributes a lot to the team, both offensively and defensively.” said Mazza.

Reaghan Zilkie (D, 5-10, Fr., Calgary, Alberta) was a nominee. Zilkie led the UAPB defense in a win over Louisiana-Monroe.

“Reaghan is showing great leadership and a coach-able attitude on the back line,” said Mazza.

The Lady Lions next match will be at home Sunday at 2PM versus Stephen F. Austin.
