LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Josh Boudreaux completed 24 of 41 passes for 438 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions for Arkansas-Pine Bluff (4-4, 3-3) setting a new school record for passing yards in a game and wide receiver Raymond Webber had nine receptions for 243 yards and a TD but it wasn't enough as Grambling State defeated Arkansas-Pine Bluff 35-25 on Saturday in the Delta Classic 4 Literacy.
The disappointing loss drops the Golden Lions out of contention for the 2010 SWAC Title. On a positive note Webber became Arkansas-Pine Bluff's All-Time Leader in receptions for a career setting the new mark at 150 breaking Robert Marshall's record of 149 which stood for over two decades (1987-89).
“Webber has truly had an amazing career,” said UAPB Offensive Coordinator Jerry Mack. “His success is a direct testament to his hard work in the weight room and on the football field.”
The Golden Lions will return to home for a two-game stand beginning with a Homecoming match-up with Mississippi Valley State on Saturday, Nov. 6th. Kickoff time is slated for 2:30 pm at Golden Lions Stadium.
