LRSD Middle School All-City Championship Showcases Rising Talent
Last week's LRSD Middle School All-City Championship brought together the best young athletes in Little Rock, and the results made one thing clear-the future of Arkansas track & field is loaded with talent. From dominant sprint doubles to distance sweeps and field event standouts, several athletes put together performances worthy of the spotlight.
Sprints: Jnari Johnson Headlines Elite Speed
The boys sprints belonged to Jnari Johnson (J.A. Fair Prep), who completed a dominant double. Johnson blazed to victory in the 100m with an impressive 11.55, then came back to win the 200m in 24.99, establishing himself as one of the top middle school sprinters in the state.
He wasn't alone in the spotlight.
On the girls side, Korea Zollar (J.A. Fair Prep) edged a thrilling finish in the 100m, winning in 13.55, just ahead of Layah Fossette (Pinnacle View) at 13.57. Fossette's team would respond later in the 200m, where Amiah Bryant (Pinnacle View) took the win in 28.25.
400m: Strength Meets Speed
The 400m races highlighted endurance and race execution.

Jaylen Powell (J.A. Fair Prep) controlled the boys race, winning in 56.74, while Gavin Farsee (Dunbar) pushed him with a 57.94 runner-up finish.

On the girls side, Kylee Monroe (J.A. Fair Prep) led a 1-2 finish for her team, winning in 1:05.20 just ahead of teammate Korea Zollar (1:05.66).
Distance events were owned by Pinnacle View Middle School, especially on the boys side.
The girls distance races told a similar story:

Tessa Corbitt (Pinnacle View) dominated both the 800m (2:25.51) and 1600m (5:51.23) for a distance double.

Teammates Adelaide Weglewski and Eleanor Alge added depth with top finishes.
Kylon White (J.A. Fair Prep) was nearly untouchable in the hurdles, sweeping both events:

Relays: Team Battles Bring the Energy
Relays delivered some of the most exciting finishes of the meet.

Distance depth powered Pinnacle View to wins in both the boys 4x400 (4:10.31) and 4x800 (10:22.52).
