PINE BLUFF, Ark. - Casey Therriault threw for 331 yards and five touchdowns and ran for two more to lead Jackson State to victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff 52-30 on Saturday.
The Tigers (7-4, 5-3 Southwestern) secured an early lead when Therriault connected with Marcellos Wilder for a TD midway through the first quarter.
The Golden Lions (5-5, 4-4) quickly came back in the half thanks in part to a pair of scoring runs by Stephen Jones and another by Josh Boudreaux. UAPB led 24-17 at halftime.
JSU's Therriault lead the Tigers to five consecutive scoring drives from that point after that. He threw four unanswered touchdown passes to make it 45-30 midway through the fourth quarter. He also went on to run in a score from 27 yards with 3:42 left in regulation play.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff will close out their season on Nov. 20th on the road versus Texas Southern. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
