But with the muddy conditions in Northwest Arkansas, his two daughters wanted no part of hit. The rodeo's loss is MileSplit Arkansas' gain as Jerry Byrd was able to visit with Coach Sullivan.
The conversation started discussing rising junior Hattie Ray Beshears, who ran the fastest 5K in Arkansas history this past weekend at the Nike Outdoor Nationals. Beshears ran a 16:26 in a runner-up effort.
Beshears' personal record comes almost a month after running yet another personal record in the mile at the RunningLane Track Championships in Huntsville, Alabama.
From there, the conversation took a turn toward the upcoming cross country season. It should be an exciting one for a Har-Ber program loaded with talent. Coach Sullivan mentions many of the runners in this interview.
