JONESBORO, Ark. (8/12/2011) — Arkansas State pole vaulters Stephanie Foreman and Erica Naeger have been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic team, the USTFCCCA announced last week.

Naeger (Bloomsdale, Mo.) recently completed her senior season and has earned a GPA of 3.758 while majoring in Art Education.  Naeger finished second behind Foreman at the 2011 Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Championships to qualify for the NCAA West Preliminary competition.  She cleared a personal-best 13-3.50 to win the pole vault at the April 30 Memphis Invitational.

“We are extremely proud of both Stephanie and Erica for their accomplishments both on the track and in the classroom,” said ASU head coach Jim Patchell.  “Both of them are excellent representatives of not only the ASU Track and Field program, but of Arkansas State University as well.”
