Running first on the 5,000-meter course for the ASU women was senior Chelsea Weaver, who finished 45th out of 262 runners with a time of 18:00.55. Freshman Rexi Parcells finished 81st with a time of 18:21.98, with junior Samantha Salinas close behind in 87th place with a time of 18:23.25.
Leading the ASU men on the 8,000-meter course was junior David Mills, who finished 22nd with a time of 25:33.59. Mills was followed by freshman Luke Lindsley who finished 159th with a time of 26:54.32.
The ASU men's and women's cross country teams will compete again Oct. 15 at the 23rd annual Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Ark.
