Hosted by Western Kentucky, the events will take place at Kereiakes Park, with the women's 5K race beginning at 10:00 a.m. and the men's 8K getting underway at 11:00 a.m.
Western Kentucky University is picked to sweep both the men's and women's races, as voted on by the league's 11 head coaches.
The ASU women came in third at last year's conference meet, and are hoping to improve on their record from last year.
As they prepare for the meet, the women are expected to be lead by senior Chelsea Weaver, who has been the first runner in the last two meets this season.
At the Chile Pepper Festival Oct. 15, Weaver ran a personal best in the 6K with a time of 21:58.4 and placed 55th out of 296 competitors. It was the second consecutive race in which she posted a personal-best time. Two weeks earlier at the Greater Louisville Classic in Louisville, Ken., she posted a time of 18:00.55 and finished 45th out of 262 competitors.
Junior Sam Salinas and freshman Rexi Parcells are also expected to be strong competitors for the women. Both have competed well throughout the season, finishing at the UALR Invitational in fourth and fifth, respectively.
The women of WKU won the title last year and are currently riding the longest conference winning streak in the nation at 17 consecutive Sun Belt track titles.
The ASU men finished eighth at last year's conference meet, and are hoping to improve as well.
On the men's side, the Red Wolves have been led by junior David Mills, who finished fourth out of 98 competitors at the UALR Invitational with a time of 25:00.25 and 22nd out of 285 competitors at the Greater Louisville Classic with a time of 25:33.59. Senior James Ngwiri and freshman Luke Lindsley are also expected to be strong competitors on the men's side.
UALR won the men's title last year, but are picked to finish second at this year's conference meet.
