SEARCY – Four members of the Harding women's cross country team were among a total of 354 NCAA Division II student-athletes who earned 2011 All-Academic status from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Harding's honorees included Dallis Bailey, Gladys Kimtai, Rachel Roberts, and Ewa Zaborowska.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team in Division II, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or greater through the most-recent semester, completed at least 12 credit hours in the semester of cross country competition, and placed in the top 50 percent at the most recent NCAA National Championships or in the top 30 percent at the NCAA Regional Championships.

Bailey is a freshman family and consumer sciences major from Conway, Mo. She has a 3.76 grade point average and placed 76th at the South Central Region Meet.

Kimtai, a senior from Iten, Kenya, has a 3.41 GPA as a biology major. She was Harding's second-highest finisher at the regional meet, placing 13th.

A sophomore kinesiology major from Guthrie, Okla., Roberts placed 78th at the regional meet and has a 3.78 GPA.

Zaborowska, a freshman from Poland, was Harding's highest finisher at the South Central Region Meet, placing eighth. She is a finance major with a 4.00 GPA.
