OXFORD, Miss. – Harding sophomore
Kristen Celsor tied the school record and recorded an NCAA provisional mark with a high jump of 5 feet, 7 inches on Saturday at the Mississippi Open, hosted by the University of Mississippi.
Celsor's jump ties the school mark set by Penny Mayberry in 1995. It is also tied for the 12th-best high jump mark in Division II this season.
Junior
Tiffany Chambers placed fifth in the pole vault at 11 feet, 5 3/4 inches. Chambers already has a provisional mark of 11-09.75 and is ranked 14th in Division II.
Bison Woody Seagren was also in action. He placed 27th of 41 runners with a time of 4 minutes, 13.60 seconds in the 1,500 meters.
