SEARCY – Harding women's outdoor track and field entered the NCAA Division II Top 25 for the first time this season on Wednesday. The Lady Bisons are ranked 24th in the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Rankings.
Teams receive points for each athlete that has either provisionally or automatically qualified for the national meet or are ranked in the top 40 in Division II.
Harding, who has 48.70 points in the rankings, has four athletes who meet the qualifications in seven events.
Senior
Cathy Ebenja has provisionally qualified in the 100 meters and in the long jump and is ranked 23rd in Division II in the 200 meters (0.69 points). Ebenja is ranked fourth in the 100 meters (11.79, 15.46 points) and eighth in the long jump (19-3¼, 8.66 points).
Freshman
Ewa Zaborowska is provisionally qualified in the 800 meters and 1,500 meters. She is ranked fifth in the 800 meters (2:10.78, 13.45 points) and 13th in the 1,500 meters (4:32.81, 3.96 points).
Sophomore
Kristen Celsor, who provisionally qualified with a high jump of 5 feet, 7 inches last weekend at Ole Miss, is ranked 12th in the high jump (4.33 points).
Junior
Tiffany Chambers is ranked 16th in the pole vault (11-9¾, 2.15 points).
Harding's women are back in action Saturday at the UCA Open in Conway, Ark.
