Lively, Kopec Victorious at Red Wolf Invitational

JONESBORO, Ark. – Harding men's track and field recorded two event victories Saturday at the Red Wolf Classic, hosted by Arkansas State University.

Sophomore Taylor Lively won the 800 meters with a time of 1 minute, 56.19 seconds for his third event victory of the season and first in the 800 meters.

Senior Wojciech Kopec won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9:18.52, an NCAA provisional time but not Kopec's best time of the season. It was his sixth career event victory, his fourth in the steeplechase, and his second straight. He won the steeplechase at Rhodes on Mar. 24.

Other Harding competitors included Milton Stewart (2nd, 200 meters, 22.39 and 7th, 400 meters, 51.29), Jacek Dybowski (8th, 800 meters, 2:05.89), Andrew Evans (5th, steeplechase, 10:36.53), Zach Uhiren (6th, steeplechase, 10:43.47), Logan Callier (2nd, high jump, 6'4”), Josh Winslager (8th, pole vault, 14'7½”), and Ryan Cagle (5th, shot put, 42'6¼”).

Harding's next meet is scheduled to be the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta on May 11-12.
