Harding Track's Logan Callier Named Academic All-District

Logan Callier earned his second straight Academic All-District honor.
SEARCY – Harding University senior Logan Callier earned Capital One Division II Men's Cross Country/Track and Field Academic All-District VI honors Thursday. It was Callier's second straight Academic All-District honor.

A native of Rockwall, Texas, Callier was Harding's top high jumper during the 2011-12 season. Indoors, Callier cleared 6 feet, 4 inches, and was even better outdoors with a personal-best height of 6-6. During his career, Callier increased his personal-best height by almost seven inches.

Callier, a member of Harding's Honors College, was an interdisciplinary studies major, who graduated on May 5 with a 3.93 grade point average.

The Capital One Academic All-District teams are voted on by the district's sports information directors. District VI includes NCAA Division II schools in the Great American, MIAA, Lone Star and Heartland Conferences.

Callier is one of 10 student-athletes from District VI that will move on to the Academic All-America ballot.
