PLEASE NOTE: NEW LOCATION FOR 2019: WAR MEMORIAL GOLF COURSE
On September 7th, 2019, Little Rock Parks and Recreation, Rock City Running and Go! Running, are proud to bring the Little Rock XC Classic to Central Arkansas. The event will take place at the former War Memorial Golf Course, located just west of War Memorial Stadium on Markham Street in Little Rock.
The cross country event will have an open division that will begin at 7:30 a.m. There will be separate races for high school boys and girls. Two-mile races for the junior high boys and girls will follow.
The tentative schedule is as follows:
7:30 a.m. Open men and women
8:30 a.m. High school boys
9:00 a.m. High school girls
9:30 a.m. Junior high boys (two mile)
10:00 a.m. Junior high girls (two mile)
Schools will pay $75 per team with a maximum of $300. Teams that have less than 5 runners will have a $15.00 per runner entry fee. All schools must register at ar.milesplit.com.Checks can be made out to Little Rock XC Classic. Coaches can pay at the meet or send checks to P.O. Box 30370, Little Rock, AR 72260.There will be no day of race registration for the school teams. On-line registration will close at 6pm on September 4th. All races will be chip timed.
The high school and junior high races will have team awards two deep and individual awards for the top 20 in each division.
All runners will get a T-shirt and there will be food and drinks after each event. Important: Please email a size breakdown for t-shirts for your team. Sizes available are XS, S, M, L, XL. The race will be chip-timed by arkansasrunner.com. Coaches are responsible for insuring that runners are wearing the correct chip and that all chips are accounted for.
