Meet Information
Awards: Medals to the top fifteen individuals in each division and in all three classifications 1A-3A, 4A-5A, and 6A. In the 6A. we are going to be split into the 7th & 8th-grade division and 9th-grade division. 7th and 8th Grade Athletes can run in the 9th grade division, however 9th Grade athletes can't run in the 7th and 8th Grade division Trophies will be given to the top two teams in each division and in all three classifications.
Location: This year's meet site is at our High School Campus the same as last year. We will be finishing in the football & track stadium so the layout of the course is the same as last year. It is located in front and to thewest of the High School building with the finish on the 50-yard line of the Football field. If you are traveling from Fayetteville you will take Highway 16 East to Elkins Public School the High School is located on the rightside of the Highway West of the Football Field.Course: The course is relatively flat course, primarily grass surface, however, it will crossover some concrete and our new track surface so we are asking that only 1/4 inch spikes be worn. We should have some fast times on the course.
Info: We will have a T-Shirt vendor Fine design there will be a larger variety of shirts & running gear, prices of products will vary. Water will be provided for runners. Additional snacks will be available at a concessionstand at the meet.Costs: Entries are $50. per team. (If you have a Sr. Boys team and a Sr. Girls team that will be $100. total) For teams with over 40 athlete add an additional $1.00 per athlete. If you are a 6-A school that has a 7th-9th grade in the same school and you enter a 9th-grade team and a 7th and 8th-grade team each team is $50. For incomplete teams the cost is $12. per runner. Make checks payable to Elkins High School Cross Country. We will be chip timed again this year by Y Timing LLC. We will be entering through www.armilesplit.com; there is no limit to the number of athletes you can enter.

Date: Saturday, September 11th, 2021
Times: 7:20am Fun Run 1st - 3rd grade 800 meter
4th-6th grade 1600 meters
Registration for the Fun Run will be in front of the High School starting at 6:45. Entry Fee is $10.00 please bring correct change to minimize contact. Parents and runners will be required to wear a mask at registration and observe social distancing guidelines. Runners can remove their mask before the start of the race and replace them after the completion of the race. Each Runner can have 2 people in the Parents/Guardians area they will need to have mask in place at all times, remain in the assigned area and follow social distancing guidelines. Upon completion of the race all Fun Run Participates and parents will be ask to return back to the asphalt area in front of the High School or the Football Stadium stands. Race will start promptly at 7:20.

1. Coaches: Please fill
out the Covid screening form (This will be your printed roster for your athletes
upon checking each athlete you will place a check mark by their name if they
passed the requirements please add any Coaches and managers to the roster as
well)Please do complete this for your athletes
and coaches as they board your bus to come to the meet. You will sign the form certifying
that your team and coaches have been checked and are safe to attend the meet. These
forms will be collected before you receive your packet.

We will have a traditional awards ceremony.
Parents will be asked remain in the stadium
bleachers or on the asphalt area in front of the high school. We are not
allowing parents to go out on the course this year. Only Teams and Coaches will
be allowed in the start area and finish area or on the course.
Our concession stand will be open.

This is a very large meet and no late entries will be accepted.
Parking: Bus will be dropping off teams and parking on the loop behind High School like last year. Cars will be parked in the Middle School, Elementary, Primary Parking Lots, and Gym Parking Lot.
Admission: Please remind your parents there will be admission to the meet
$5.00 for Adults & $3.00 for students 5 and up.
