Today's Bank Mansfield XC Invitational 2020

Mansfield, AR

Meet Information

Mansfield High School welcomes once again Today's Bank as the exclusive sponsor of our 17th annual invitational cross country meet. Today's Bank Mansfield Invitational will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 for senior and junior high schools. Registration deadline is Friday, September 25 by 1:00 PM.

The senior girls race will begin at 9:00 AM. A rolling schedule will continue with the senior boys, followed by junior girls, and junior boys races. To accommodate a larger starting line, all races will begin at the Northeast corner of campus (basically the old junior high start). Team boxes will be marked with for a vertically stacked start. The finish line and its adjoining exit chute will also be extended. Senior high runners will run a 5K race. Junior high runners will run a 3K race.

Results will be divided into "big school 4A-6A" and "small school 1A-3A" classifications. A championship plaque will be awarded to the team winner of each division. Individual medals will be given to the top 15 big school finishers and the top 15 small school finishers of each race. Award winners will be announced at the conclusion of each race. However, there will be no formal gathering for awards. Coaches will be instructed on how to pick up their awards.

Team buses should park in the north lot as you enter the main high school entrance off 71 Hwy. Players and coaches should enter the course area near the bus lane gate between the football stadium and gym. Teams should stay to the left of the big yellow gate as spectator traffic will be directed to the right side of the gate. Hand sanitizer stations will be available.

All attendees must wear face coverings. Athletes should keep face coverings on at all times unless warming up or engaged in the race. All spectators and coaches should wear masks at all times.

"Team camp pods" will be painted in the grass areas along the south side of the gym and school. Coaches should restrict teams inside pods while leaving the "social distance" spacing between pods for traffic flow. Large teams should consider splitting team members into more than one pod.

"Viewing pods" for spectators will be painted along the start and finish of the course. There will be access to some limited viewing pods near the course between the practice field and the softball field. However, no one is to gather along the course itself. Please instruct fans to stay within viewing pods and to maintain social distance when transitioning to different viewing sections.

Restroom access will be at the back of the gymnasium. Girls will use the right (east) hallway entrance while boys will use the left (west) hallway entrance. A custodian will be present for frequent cleaning.

Team packets containing race bibs, safety pins, and team boxes should be picked up outside the storm shelter doors on the southeast corner of campus between the start and finish lines. Coaches must present an ADH approved screening checklist complete with temperatures of all participants (athletes, coaches, bus drivers, and managers) at the time of check-in. Only 1 coach per team should enter the registration table area. Entry fee is $30.00 per team or $5.00 per individual and may be paid the day of the meet.

Our apologizes, but due to health concerns their will be no hospitality room for coaches this season. Furthermore, there will be no admittance of anyone other than meet officials allowed inside the storm shelter.

Mansfield asks that all teams and their fans strictly follow ADH protocols and AAA directives so that everyone enjoys a full and complete season.

You may contact meet director Coach John Mackey by email at jmackey@mansfieldtigers.org should you have questions.
