WEST RELAYS

MEET INFORMATION:

This will be a state-qualifying meet.  There will be 2 Divisions (HS Boys and Girls).

ENTRY FEE: Entry fee for each team is $75. Boys and Girls team would be $150. Individuals $10. No cost for 7A West Teams.

ENTRIES:3 entries in all events except relays, only one team entry per relay event.

REGISTRATION, PLEASE NOTE: Registration is open online at milesplit.com.  Deadline to enter is Thursday, April 15th, at 10:00 am.  No changes will be made after entry deadline.

SCORING: Y-Timing will handle all timing and scoring at our meet.

TIMES: Field events will start at 3:30

              3200 Relay will begin at 4:00 (Girls, Followed by Boys)

              Rest of the running events will begin at approx. 4:30

TICKET SALES: Tickets can be purchased at 8am on the event day. Gates open 1 hour prior to the event.  All tickets will be sold online.  

FIELD EVENTS: There will be prelims and finals. Each athlete will get 3 throws in shot/disc and 3 attempts in the horizontal jumps. Top 9 marks will advance to the finals.  Both long jumps (Boys and Girls) will be first.

Minimum heights/distances will be e-mailed prior to the meet and given at coaches meeting.

Weigh-Ins will be under the home bleachers on the North end closest to the Shot/Discus venues.

 

COACHES MEETING:2:45 pm at the start line.

 

Infield Turf: 

The infield will be closed once the meet begins.  Athletes will need to warm up outside the fencing.  Only the athletes competing in pole vault and high jump will be allowed on the turf.  No food or drinks are allowed on the turf.

Heating:

The athletes will heat at the heating benches.  They will be given hip numbers.  Once they are at the heating benches, they will be marshalled to the starting line.  Please encourage your athletes to be warmed-up before getting to the heating area.

Important Information:  

inch spikes or less are permitted.

Arkansas Activities Association rules will apply.

No athletes will be allowed in the infield.

Water will be provided in the marshalling area.
