Meet Information
Southern Arkansas University will be hosting a cross-country meet this fall on Saturday, October 8, 2011.
This year's event will be chip timed by Macs Race Timing Service. Chips will be issued on race day only. Each runner will be required to wear an electronic chip which will be zip tied to his or her shoelace. At the conclusion of each race the chips will be collected.
You may run as many runners as you wish. However, your top five runners will score, and the sixth and seventh runner will be counted as displacers. Everyone else will not be included in the team scoring.
Trophies will be awarded to the top ten finishers in each race, and plaques will be given to the top team in each race.
The courses will be on campus and located behind the gym. Parking will be available around the gym. Below is a list of the races, distance, the time they will take place, and the entry fee.
College Womens 5K 8:30 $100/team of 5 or more ($20/individual if less than five runners)
College Mens 8K 9:15 $100/team of 5 or more ($20/individual if less than five runners)
Junior High Boys 2K 10:15 $70/team of 5 or more ($15/individual if less than five runners)
Junior High Girls 2K 10:45 $70/team of 5 or more ($15/individual if less than five runners)
High School Girls 5K 11:15 $70/team of 5 or more ($15/individual if less than five runners)
High School Boys 5K 11:45 $70/team of 5 or more ($15/individual if less than five runners)
