STATE MEET PREVIEW - BOYS

7A

Team:

On paper the 7A boys team title should go to the Bulldogs from Fayetteville, but from our experience with the top classification over the last 20 years, anything can happen! We have seen it all!
Looking at the best times of the season the race should be Fayetteville, Bentonville, and Rogers. Fayetteville just won the Mountie classic, but by only 7 points over the Mounties from Rogers. Rogers matched Fayetteville's runners pretty evenly and if just a few of Fayetteville's runners were caught, the scores could get very interesting. Bentonville had an off day at the Mountie classic with their normal #2 finishing out of the scoring. If Bentonville runs to their capability, this will be the closest race of the day. There is no room for even one runner in the top 5 for all three teams to have a bad day!!!

Prediction:

1st - Fayetteville

2nd - Rogers

3rd - Bentonville

Individual:

Last years State XC runner up was Camren Fischer (#346 above) from Fayetteville. All he has done since then is get better! With a personal best time of 15:20.07 this year at the Chile Pepper Festival, he is ranked 12th in the nation for sophomores. There will be a battle for the next two places between Johnathan Prince (#169 above) of Bentonville, Anton Michna from Fayetteville, Diego Contreras and Jessie Ramirez from Rogers, and John Carder from Bryant.

Prediction:
