STATE MEET PREVIEW - GIRLS

7A

Team:

You can always count on the biggest classification having a great race, and this one will not disappoint. Having the fastest runner in the 7A doesnt always lead to a team title. ArMileSplit has been around long enough to know that team depth wins championships. The Bentonville and Fayetteville girls teams have both speed and depth. This race will be the last one of the day and we hope we are saving the best for last. Bentonville has a slight edge up front but Fayetteville has an insane 1-5 split of 37 seconds to Bentonvilles 1:04. The Gilreath twins from Rogers High School just went 1-2 at the 7A West Conference and could really hurt Bentonville or Fayetteville depending on their finish. Bentonville's usual #1 Tori Willis did not have a great race at the 7A West but look for her to bounce back strong. With that being said, we are throwing out the papers and going with our gut.

Prediction:

1st: Bentonville

2nd: Fayetteville

3rd: Rogers

Individual:

This is a tough one! Lets just throw the top 7 girls into a hat and pick. If you look solely at their seasons best times, then Bentonville's Tori Willis should win by 20 seconds. BUT, that didnt happen 10 days ago at the 7A West. She finished 8th. Corrie Purcell from Fayetteville has the next fastest time of the season but she finished 11th at the 7A west. Sophie Quandt from Bentonville has been very consistant all season but so has Rebecca Boushelle from Fayetteville. The wild cards are the Gilreath twins Halle and Aubre from Rogers. Aubre had the faster time from the season but Halle just stepped up and beat them all on her home course at the 7A West.

What to do, what to do??? We are going with a senior sweep!!!

Prediction:

1st: Halle Gilreath

2nd: Aubre Gilreath

3rd: Sophie Quandt

OR.....

1st: Tori Willis

2nd: Rebecca Boushelle

3rd: Alexis Doyle

We cant decide!
