ALL STAR CROSS COUNTRY MEET

NOVEMBER 19, 2016

Congratulations on an outstanding performance. Your performance may have earned you a spot on the team that will represent Arkansas next week in the Arkansas-Oklahoma All-Star Cross Country meet at the Rogers High School course. The meet will be held on Saturday, November 19.  The girls 5k race will begin at 11:30 a.m. and the boys 5k race will begin at 12:00.

The All Star team will consist of the individual champions from each of the six races (Class 1-2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 7A) contested at today's State Meet, plus the next 16 fastest times regardless of classification.  The final three spots will be at-large picks that will be awarded to athletes who have shown outstanding ability throughout the season but may have suffered a poor race today due to illness or injury, or may have missed running in today's race because of unexpected circumstances.  

Team members will receive a complimentary team jersey and a certificate.  All qualifying athletes should report to the registration tent no later than 10 a.m.

          Please note:  The qualifiers for this years team will be posted on Facebook at "Arkansas All-Star Cross Country"  and on Twitter at @VBHSXCTRACK by Monday evening.   If you qualify for the meet, please either email, text or call the coaches listed below to let them know if you are participating or not, or use the Facebook or Twitter pages to let us know if you are attending.  If you text, please include your name in the text.

Directions to Rogers Cross Country Course:  On the south side of town, Exit from I-540 (I-49)onto Pleasant Grove Road, There is a Wal-Mart Supercenter, McDonald's, Academy Sports, and Golden Corral all clearly visible on the east side of the intersection. Exit going east and go to the 2nd stoplight which is Dixieland, Turn left onto Dixieland going north and proceed until you reach Rogers High School on your left, which you cannot miss.  The cross country course is just south of the school.  Parking is in the school's south parking lot.
