Dozen Boys To Watch At 2018 MPSSAA State Championships

Jordan Cofield (New Town)

The New Town boys will be in the team hunt in 2A and they will be counting on a good chunk of their points to come from sprinter Jordan Cofield. Cofield is the defending state champ in the 200 meter dash, while finished as a state runner-up in the 100 last May.

Cofield ranks #6 in the state of Maryland in the 100 meter dash with a 10.72 season best and #4 in the 200 at 21.42, which both times put him as the favorite and top entrant in each event for 2A at the state meet.

Cofield will also be featured on the New Town 4x200 meter relay, which ran the fastest time in Maryland among all classifications and public or private schools with a 1:27.62 clocking at the Baltimore County Championships.
