Girls Team Race
The Girls team race will look similar to the boys with Southlake Carroll and Lafayette both entering among the top teams to watch. While Southlake Carroll might not be the favorite on the boy's side, they are in this race. The #2 ranked team in Texas, they enter the race with their top five having run 19:06 or faster.
A team to watch for is Keller, the fourth ranked squad in Texas. While they were soundly defeated by Southlake Carroll when they raced head-to-head at Marcus I in August, they since have shown better depth, particularly in their meet last weekend scoring only 26 points with a 19:18 average.
A team that could challenge Southlake Carroll, just like the guy's race, is Lafayette. They enter with a strong 1-2 that has led them to victory at the Memphis Twilight, Forest Park, and Hancock, the first two being some of the biggest meets in the region. They will need to show better depth to compete with the teams out of Texas.
