1A-2A Girls State Preview
Team
There is no doubt that the team to beat in the 1A-2A girls
race is the returning state champions from Trinity Christian. With 4 of their
top 5 girls from last year's state championship team returning, there is little
doubt that they will take the top spot. The team is led by 2014 state champion
Elizabeth Gillette, who has already improved her time on the state XC course by
over a minute and a half this season, running 19:07 at the Lake Hamilton
Inv. She is followed by Sydney Cowgill,
Halah Nelson, and Morgan Pearcy, all returners from last years championship
team. New comer, Anna Cree fits in nicely into their top 5, and Aubrey
Youngblood is probably the best 6th runner in the 1A-2A.
