BOYS

The boys division of the 1A-4A State Indoor Championships this Friday night seems to come down to teams with depth. We all know that there really is no indoor "season" in Arkansas. Yes there are a few meets within a few hours but only the die-hard athletes are going to travel. So the best way for us to even try to predict what is going to happen is to take a look back at last years results and take out the seniors. The questions then become, will these teams travel? Are these athletes still competing? How much have they improved since last indoor season? 

The following lists are last years top 8 in each event that should be returning to compete this year. There are no relays figured into these teams scores. What I do know is that teams with great coaches, great tradition, and a great distance program are usually in contention for the Indoor title.

Predictions: 

Team Title: Heber Springs

Race of the Day: Will definitely be the 1600. With 4 of the top distance guys in the state, this one is sure to be a thriller. Noah Eskew, Bennett Pascoe, Jesse Applewhite, and Trevor Falco will all be within a few seconds of each other.
