The Lake Hamilton Cross Country Invitational is this weekend and it appears to have the most loaded field of runners from Arkansas that we have seen this season, which will make for some great racing at the Oaklawn Park Infield in Hot Springs, Arkansas, home of this season's state meet.
Some of the top cross country programs from across the Natural State are entered for Saturday's showcase, including Bentonville, Cabot, Greenwood, Lakeside, and Russellville.
While there is no such thing as a home course advantage in cross country, runners racing in Hot Springs on Saturday will certainly give themselves an advantage over the rest of their competition come November at the state meet.
