As the temperatures start to drop, so are the times in the Natural State. After a another week of racing, it's time to crown your weekly Milesplit Arkansas Girls Runner of the Week!
Lakyn Shofner won last week's Arkansas Runner of the Week award following her victory at the Prairie Grove Tiger Invitational. The senior from Elkins crossed the line in 19:40.43, which was a personal best by over a minute. Shofner has picked up four wins, which have all come in her last four races and currently sits ranked 5th in 3A and 41st in the state.
Voting for this week's ROTW award closes on Wednesday at 2:00 pm CST.
