You don't see many athletes try the triple at the state meet - now try a double triple.
Does that make sense? I'm not sure, but regardless, that's exactly what Kenzie Pruett did at the 6A State Championships on Thursday.
Across six events, Pruett scored 24 points, finishing 3rd in the 100m and 300m hurdles and the triple jump. To go along with her three individual bronzes, Pruett anchored the Cabot 4x400m relay team and brought home another 3rd place finish for her team.
The senior star has been incredible in 2025, and there's no reason to think the future Arkansas State Red Wolve is done yet.
Pruett found most of her success in the hurdle events this spring, winning six times in her ten races. Earlier this season, she finished 2nd at the adidas Track Nationals in the pentathlon, representing BC Athletics.
Congratulations Kenzie and to the Cabot Panthers on their great days at the 6A State Championships!
