1A-5 North JR and SR Conference Meet hosted at Hendrix Monday, April 19, 2016

Coaches,
This is the schedule for Tuesday. Unfortunately, the weather forecast does not look good, but we will move forward with the meet as planned, only lightning will force delays.

Ernie Miller will be our Starter and Referee.

Patrick MacDonald will be doing the timing for the meet and Andrew Raske the facility liaison assisting with things on the turf. Results will be at MacDonaldTiming.com

Please bring workers for the field event you are assigned to and for the hurdles. These can be athletes who are not participating at the time or who are finished with their events if you dont have extra help.

Patrick will have some additional notes for us at the meet. Here are some of the basics to please go over with your athletes.
Please keep your athletes in the bleaches except when they are competing in, warming up or assisting with events.
NO FOOD, CANDY, SUNFLOWER SEEDS OR BEVERAGES other than water allowed on infield.
Use only inch spikes or smaller on track and runways. DO NOT WEAR SPIKES INTO BUILDINGS!
Please have your athletes report promptly to the designated area when the last call for his/her event is made to avoid delays in the meet or potential disqualifications.
Please keep athletes clear of the finish area.
Use chalk for event marks. Please do not use tape.
Please make sure to clean up area before you leave. No trash left behind.
Coaches pick up awards from finish line after the meet is over. Trophies will be awarded on the field at the end of the meet.
Parking for the meet will be EAST of the track, just past the soccer field.

MEET SCHEDULE:

1. Welcome, discuss agenda for the day.

2. If you brought your conference fee, please let us get you a receipt for your fee. ($388.75)

3. Please SIGN the COMPLIANCE AGREEMENT SHEET. No jewelry; No electronic devices in the competition area; Uniformsschool issued, same suit & same colored undergarment on relays, shoes; Restricted areas; Safety; Good Sportsmanship (language, actions)

4. If you have pole vaulters, go by the pole vault and initial with the head judge.

5. Make sure your athletes know the order of the events. BE AT THE BENCHES BY 3RD call!
*If they are not at the benches by the 3rd call they maybe deleted from the race.

6. a) Stay OFF TURF, please. Use the side lines, the back stretch. No Food or Sunflower Seeds.
b) NO spikes worn in building, please. Use spikes or smaller for spikes.
c) Use chalk for event marks. Do not use tape. Each field event judges container has chalk.
d) Camp in the home bleachers. Clean up area before departure. No trash left.

10. MEET SCHEDULE

Junior High/Senior High shall be combined in field events, alternating JR then SR flights
9:00 Check-in with Patrick MacDonald at the tent
9:15 Coaches meeting
9:30 Field Event warm-ups
10:00 Field Events: Girls: LJ, PV DT / Boys: TJ, HJ, SP
a) No minimum marks
b) Shot put and Discus*Implements will be provided
*Four attempts in throws and horizontals
10:45 4 X 800 Relay
End of FE RUNNING 100H, 110H, 100, 1600, 4X100R, 400, 300H, 800, 200, 3200 (HS only), 4X400R
JR HS races first, then SR. Alternating Girls and Boys.

If agreeable by coaches, 3200m Relay, 1600m, and 800m will be combined both JR/SR.

Clipboards with flight sheets should be at each event. Please make sure all equipment, trash, etcis cleared from event area when all rounds of your event are completed.
In order to expedite events, when checking in athletes at each event, please place those in 4 x 800 or hurdles in first flights.

12. After the conference meet:

1. Must be emailed to nick@ahsaa.k12.ar.us. (Do not submit until after the conference track meet.)

2. Emails requesting to use a pre-qualifying time/performance MUST be submitted WITHIN 48
hours (including the weekend) after your conference meet.

3. The email to nick@ahsaa.k12.ar.us should be submitted exactly below:

5. Again, Coaches are not to submit the email until AFTER their conference track meet.

6. Email should be sent within 48 hours after the conference track meet.
