2020 Meet Format Change

Team scoring for the event will be split into 5A-6A and 1A-4A.  Individual awards go to top 30 overall.

10 Athletes per team as entered on Milesplit - Race Day Substitutions will NOT be allowed

2020 Meet Site Change

Related to the pandemic, we will NOT be at ATU, but will be at Old Post Park.  1061 Lock and Dam Road, Russellville, Arkansas. 

This year there will be NO T-shirt sales or a concession stand. 

Their will be no map of the course. The Sr. course is 2 loops around but not same route each time. The Jr. course is one loop around. 

Parents are allowed and need to follow CDC guidelines.

Dear Coach,

You are invited to the 48th annual Cyclone Invitational at Old Post Park on Saturday September 26th 2020. The Cyclone is the longest continuous running high school cross country meet in Arkansas. Coach Don Carnahan, a member of the Arkansas track and field, high school coaches and national coaches Hall of Fame created the event in 1973. We look forward to seeing you and your team. If you do not have a full team, you can register your athletes for $10 a person. NO COLLEGE RACES.

Race Divisions and Times:

Sr. Boys 9:00 AM

Sr. Girls 9:30 AM

Jr. Boys 10:00 AM

Jr. Girls 10:30 AM

Awards: HS/JH Medals will be awarded to the top 20 overall.  A plaque will be given for the runner-up and winner in each division.

Registration: ar.milesplit.com You may enter as many athletes as you wish. $75 for each team entered. Make checks payable the Russellville Athletic Department.

Timing: MacDonald Timing, LLC will handle timing and scoring using Ipico Shoe Chips. Teams are responsible for lost chips. Chips will be collected in chute, all unused chips must be returned at time of packet pickup or final awards ceremony. Coaches will be provided with 1 zip tie per chip to be used to integrate chip into shoe laces.

Results: Results will be posted on MacDonaldTiming.com the day of the event, eventually results will be posted to Milesplit for the JR/HS events.

Entries: HS/JRHS entries done through Milesplit. Entries will close on Sept 26 at 9 am Central Time. Entries will not be closed prior to this time. (College entries done through Direct Athletics)

Trainer: Mike Hilton of Lane Physical Therapy will be on site to assist with any minor injuries, or provide first aid if needed.
