THE LRXC CLASSIC IS NOW FULL. NO NEW TEAMS ARE BEING ACCEPTED FOR ENTRY. SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.

IN ORDER TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, WE WILL BE USING A STAGGERED START IN ORDER TO ALLOW FOR SOCIAL DISTANCING AT THE START AREA.

PLEASE NOTE THAT EACH SCHOOL WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO ENTER 10 RUNNERS PER DIVISION. WE ARE SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE. RUNNERS WILL BE USING DISPOSABLE CHIPS AND WILL BE STARTED 3 AT A TIME EVERY COUPLE OF SECONDS OVER A MAT THAT WILL ACTIVATE THEIR CHIP. RESULTS WILL BE BASED ON THE ATHLETES CHIP TIME.

IMPORTANT: Coaches, for those athletes that don't have seed times in milesplit, please seed your athletes based on your best estimate.

On September 12th, 2020, Little Rock Parks and Recreation, Rock City Running and Go! Running, are proud to bring the Little Rock XC Classic to Central Arkansas. The event will take place at the former War Memorial Golf Course, located just west of War Memorial Stadium on Markham Street in Little Rock.

The cross country event will have an open division that will begin at 7:00 a.m. There will be separate races for high school boys and girls. Two-mile races for the junior high boys and girls will follow.

8 am Senior boys

8:45 am Senior Girls

9:30 am Junior Boys

10:15 am Junior Girls

Schools will pay $75 per team with a maximum of $300. Teams that have less than 5 runners will have a $15.00 per runner entry fee. All schools must register at ar.milesplit.com.Checks can be made out to Little Rock XC Classic. Coaches can pay at the meet or send checks to P.O. Box 30370, Little Rock, AR 72260.There will be no day of race registration for the school teams. On-line registration will close at 6pm on September 5th. All races will be chip timed.

Only Coaches can come to registration tent to pick up shirts and disposable chip numbers

Department of Health guidelines on social distancing must be followed. Masks that cover the nose and mouth should be worn at all times when social distancing cannot be maintained. Coaches are responsible for screening their athletes the day of the race. A Covid screening form is linked here for your convenience:COVID Screening Form Athletes and coaches must be listed and checked off. Athletes do not have to have their temperature checked but coaches do. The completed form needs to be filed for future reference if any issues arise.

Tell your runners not to fold the bib numbers as they have a timing chip on the back and will not read if folded.

Runners in each division will be sent off in groups of 3. Schools will seed their runners. Runners will line up based on the seeding. Since there is a starting and finish mat the runners time will be their net time based on crossing the mat. When the first 3 runners reach 25' the next 3 can start.

There will be no water stop but bottled water will be available at the finish area.

Awards will be mailed to the winning school.

There will be no food after the event as in years past.

All runners will get a T-shirt. Important: Please email a size breakdown for t-shirts for your team. Sizes available are XS, S, M, L, XL. List how many shirts you will need for each size. The race will be chip-timed by arkansasrunner.com. The runners will be wearing disposable bib chips.
