Registration open until 9-23 9 am
9-14 Changes:  Because of Covid restrictions the meet is being split into two days.  
9-22   4:30 PM    High School Boys 5k    5:10 PM   High School Girls 5k
9-24   4:30 PM    Junior High Boys           5:10 PM Girls 2 Miles (potentially split into two races, large and small)
This change is directly related to COVID concerns and restrictions.  We apologize for the potential inconvenience this causes, but the alternative was cancelling the event outright.

Procedures

 

        Prior to reporting to the meet each team must fill out the form

below. Coaches and athletes temperature must be recorded and presented before

unloading the bus.

        We ask you to help keep spectators to the minimal by only having 1

parent/guardian to attend the meet. We will be charging admissions. $5 for

adults and kids over 5yrs old.

        Each spectator will have their temperatures check at the entry

point.

        All spectators and coaches are required to wear mask at all time.

Athletes while not running.

        Team tents will need to be at least six feet apart. We ask each

time keep to their own tent when not running.

        Teams will need to provide their own water. We will have bottled

water at the end of the finish line but limited to finishers and emergency

        The start will be in waves

of 50 runners to help spread everyone out. Teams will be kept together.

        There will be no coral at

the finish line. We want the runners to keep moving and not gather at the

finish. We will not remove the timing chips.

        Timing chips will be taken

up by the team coach and returned in bags provided after all athletes from the team have competed.

        No awards ceremony. Medals will be given to the top ten runners as

they cross the finish line. Team awards will be given to Head coaches.

        There will be amble trash cans we ask that you clean up after

yourselves.

        Hand sanitizer will be stationed at the Port-a-Jons and check in

tents for coaches.



Schedule: Order of events: TBD soon (rolling start after first race). Course will be open Tuesday/Thursday afternoon from 2:00 till the start of the first race. Coaches meeting at 4:00 pm near finish line.

Location: University of the Ozarks Cross Country Trails; Take Exit 58 for AR 103 S (S Rogers Street), 0.2 mi turn onto AR 103 S/S Rogers St (going south), 0.2 mi turn left onto Market St, 0.5 mi turn right onto paved drive after Wal Mart (River Valley Animal Products Drive), course will be on the left.

Spectators: There is a $5 entry fee for spectators, we ask that only 1 parent per athlete come to the event.

Description: The course is grass/dirt mix of field and wooded areas. It is a looped course which passes by the start/finish area each lap. Cut through trails allow for spectators and coaches to observe the race in most parts of the wooded areas.

Timing: Timing and scoring to be done by MacDonald Timing. Results will be at Ozarks.MacDonaldTiming.com, updated during the race.

Awards: The top Sr/Jr girls and boys team will receive an award. Top 10 individuals in each race will also receive medals.

Registration: $50 per team (max 15 individuals); unattached and individuals will be $10. Please register on MileSplit by September 21st @ 8:59 am for the convenience of the race director! Additions after the deadline will NOT be allowed (contact Coach Pinkerton for changes that occur after the deadline)! Checks can be made out to: University of the Ozarks Cross Country/Track
