NCAA Outdoor Championships 2009

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – A successful career came to an end for ULM senior high jumper Heather Davis at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., in the qualifying rounds on Wednesday afternoon.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark - Tulane junior sprinter Olivia Kizzee set a personal best in the semifinals of the 200-meter dash at the 88th Annual NCAA Men's and Women's Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday. She advanced to the semis with a 23.80 time in the prelims and then turned in a 23.45 for a new best mark in the semis, to finish 16th.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Junior thrower Adonson Shallow held his ground on Saturday, claiming 11th place in the discus to give the Southeastern Louisiana University men's track and field team its second top-20 finisher in three days at the 2009 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships at the University of Arkansas.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Cody Fillinich didn't meet his own standards Friday night but he still reached uncharted territory in Northwestern State's proud track and field history, earning his fourth outdoor All-America honor in as many seasons at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The Lady Tigers wrapped up the 2009 edition of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships exactly the way they ended last year’s championship by setting a seasonal best to finish as the NCAA runner-up in the 4x400-meter relay in the last event of the meet Saturday afternoon at John McDonnell Field.

Almost a dozen former Virginia high school preps competed this past weekend at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships held in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
