2022 Sara Low Relays

2:30 CHECK-IN: Please see Dana Wells as soon as you arrive to check your Milesplit print-out. Confirm correctness or make substitutions or scratches ASAP. She will be located at a table near the finish line. We cant get started until this is completed.
2 per event with 1 Relay team per school
Entry Fee: $130 per school Please make check out to BHS T&F.
TEAM CAMPS: Please use the visitor bleachers (smaller set) on the east side of the track. Do not set up near the long jump area or the pole vault area. Please ask your athletes NOT to enter any of our buildings while on our campus; .
3:30 COACHES' MEETING:
1. Each Coach signs the "Compliance of Rules" form. Note: School issued uniforms, safety, sportsmanship, athletes converse with field event judge about other events...
2. Each coach must also initial by each athlete's name on the PV event sheet @ the event with the event judge. Pole vaulters must weigh in @ the pole vault.
3. Weigh in implements at the discs and shot area.
4. ***Coaches remind your athletes it is VITALLY important to BE AT THE BENCHES ON THE CALL OF THEIR RUNNING EVENT. If an athlete is not at the benches when their name is called for their heat, their name will be DELETED from the computer. Once an athlete is deleted from the computer for the race, they will NOT BE PERMITTED TO RUN.
5. MARKINGS for events & relays: Please do NOT use tape. Ask the judge for chalk @ the jumps. Tennis balls will be provided at the relay exchanges.
6. SPIKES: Pyramid 1/4 inch spikes are largest allow for track surface and field turf.
7. WARM-UP: Do NOT warm-up on the actual football playing field. Athletes may use the sidelines of the turf for warm-up and the back side of the track when not being used for a race. Please do NOT set up any camps on the field. No chairs, hurdles, gum or sunflower seeds are to be on the turf. Field Event warm-ups must have a judge or the athlete's "own" coach with them. If the area is closed, please tell your athletes to NOT use the area. Coaching areas: endzones for Long triple and HJ Area above the shot and discus behind the scoreboard for PV
Track Meet:
3:45: Field Events: Girls PV, Boys HJ, Girls LJ, Boys TJ, Boys Shot and Girls Discus. Qualifying marks may be made on the throws and horizontals to maximize the efficiency of the execution of the events. Best two throws will be measured.
4:15: 4x800 Relay
4:30: 100/110 hurdles
5:45: 100 dash, 4x200, 1600 run, 4x100 relay, 400 dash, 300 hurdles, 800 run, 200 dash, 3200 run and 4x400 relay
Awards: Championship plaque, Medals for 1-3 and ribbons for 4-8, and an individual outstanding male and female athlete. Medals will be handed out at the 50 yd line when results are announced
