Frick Files 4: Pre-Chile Pepper Rankings

Welcome back to Milesplit Arkansas' Frick Files, a weekly column featuring the best distance running in the Natural State - this time, on Thursday.

After three weeks of racing, all eyes are on the Chile Pepper Festival, which is less than two weeks away in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where for the first time this season, we will see some of the best in the state go head-to-head.

Haley Loewe and Lilly Beshears have been the two names we have been talking about all season and the pair will finally have the opportunity to duke it out at one of the nation's premier distance events, while their respective teams, Bentonville and Rogers, will also square off for the first time in 2023.

The Bentonville boys team has gone untouched through the early portions of the season, taking on some of the best teams in the Longhorn State, and now will have the chance to flex their muscles in front of the best there is to offer in the Natural State.

But before we get there, on today's Frick Files, let's go over the first edition of my rankings, which are sure to change by the time the Arkansas Cross Country State Championships roll around.

Note: These rankings are subjective and written/created by Milesplit Arkansas contributor Gavin Frick. These are to be taken as opinions, not fact, as these are not a representation of the entire Milesplit Arkansas staff as a lot can change from now until November.
