Girls 3A State Meet Preview

With the graduation of the top two runners from the state meet last year, this years race looks to be wide open. Looking at the top 5k times for the 3A girls only one time really stands out, and that is Sadie McDonald from Manila. She has the only time in the 3A that is under 21 minutes and this time was run on the state meet course just a few weeks ago!

There are 4 other girls with times within 30 seconds of Sadie. Joyce Ferguson from West Fork, Brooke Wyatt from Fountain Lake, Maria Grano from Waldron, and Jennifer Martinez from Green Forest will all be in the hunt for a state title.

3A Girls 5k List

After just one year away from the podium, it looks like Genoa Central is back in the saddle for the title. Waldron HS might have something to say about that! Waldron's 1,2,and 3 runners beat Genoa's 1,2,and 3. This race will definitely come down to the wire and be decided by their 4th and 5th runners.
